“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

I have been eating extremely well for the last month, training hard and lost a stack of body fat. But the last 3 to 4 days have lost my strength and craving carbs big time. So today I pigged out on white bread rolls with chicken and mayo washed down with half a litre of coke. I could literally feel my muscles refuelling. “Man did I need that”. An hour later grinded at 5 sets of 4 rep ring dips and 3 sets of 8 rep ring pushups. Feeling heaps better now!

Glad you are feeling better Tim. It’s not a bad idea to “treat” yourself every now and then so you don’t feel too deprived.
