Fitness in 100 words
“Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, c&j, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports. ”

That is a great shot of the rings!
I don’t have any pullup equipment and I’m tired and it’s raining (excuses excuses) so I just did the deadlift part.
120, 130, 130.
Then decided to go for a new 1RM PB. Previous was 140 so I thought I’d skip that and go 150. WIN! So happy and pumped that I went for 160. DOUBLE WIN! New PB. Woot Woot. I love Crossfit.
BOOYAH!!! Fantastic lift Rob! You must pumped!
I wasn’t feeling particularly strong today, so no PB attempts from me today. I did have ago at the pullups and almost ripped my shoulders out of their sockets while flailing around on that bar like a fish out of water. Still quite haven’t got the rythm yet.
Results- 27 pullups
DL – 120, 130, 130
Thanks Tim, yeah a great afternoon.
Were you trying kipping pullups?
Yes, they are a lot harder then they look.
I think 27 is awesome. Last time I tried kipping I got a grand total of one in a row. Maybe we need a skills session……….
I think it would help a great deal. I seem to get 2 or three in a row and then lose my rhythm and start muscling them like chinups, which is incorrect. When I watch videos of them, the guys & girls have a really good rhythm going. It seems effortless, and I am really struggling.
